Hungarian champion nail tech EVA DARABOS, Nailympia London Division 3 Winner of Winners 2012, dissects the competition nail to advise on what makes a winning nail.

In nail competitions, the repetitive theme is always the same in the artificial categories: to create flawless French nails. Therefore the challenge is in making easy, simple French nails and because these competitions are judged technically, the goal is to form perfect nails, consistent in style, length and design, and this is very difficult. Secondly, there are lots of rules about French nails that can be changed, which is why almost every competition requires different preparation.
