Forensic scientist turned nail guru, Marian Newman has worked in almost every area of the nail industry. From running a salon and taking educator status to acting as a nail consultant for some of the largest nail companies in the UK and as the UK’s first nail session stylist.

She has represented the industry on the board of the British Industry Authority (BIA) now known as Habia and was involved in the development of Vocational Standards. She was also a seasoned presenter on QVC bringing nails into thousands of people’s sitting rooms every month.

Marian has written the definitive guide for the budding nail practitioner, The Complete Nail Technician and her session work includes having become the name that famous photographer Nick Knight calls upon to do his Dior, Lancome and Vogue shoots. Working closely with Sam McKnight, Val Garland and many others, Marian now commands an unrivalled position in her industry and is sought-after for her expertise as a judge.
